VOICE OVER
Evaluation
I’ve used GarageBand to edit my chosen movie clip by adding my own sound effects and voice overs. It was extremely easy to do using a Mac computer. The actual scene is serious but by adding my sound effects and voice over. My group and I have tried to make it funny, by adding sarcasm and irrelevant subjects.
The process in GarageBand was fun and straight forward. I had to mute some parts of the actual clip to add voices and sound affects and trimming the voice over audio that my group and I made and putting them in the right time, so it looks like the people (characters in the movie) were actually talking about what we put. To make it look real.
During the pre-production my group and I wrote scripts based on humour and then we started to record. We recorded several voice recordings incase one wasn't good enough or unclear. We used an iPhone X for recording and then we uploaded on to a computer on a shared drive, so that everyone in my group had the recordings.
The target audience that I aim for are people who are into humour or parodies.

DUBBING
Evaluation
The dubbing was also done using GarageBand, using a mac, mouse and a keyboard. which helped me to mute and add audio over the clip. In my dubbing clip the dubbing matches what the characters are actually saying on the screen. In order to make it look realistic and normal I had to place the dubbing audio at the correct timing so it matches the characters actions and mouth movements. I especially loved this one more because it was more fun todo and I got the chance to play around voices and accents. I also loved how I had to do a Male voice to match the Male character in the scene.
My group and I recorded our own voice dubbing using a quiet room and an iPhone recorder, which we then uploaded onto a shared google drive so that we all had the recordings. We had to record in a quiet room because we need complete silence in the back-ground because all we needed was our voices and nothing more. during the recording (pre-production) process there were also of draft recordings because we wanted to see which dubbing would fit the scene more. This included the speed and tone of our voices. All so that when the post production is finished it looks realistic to its audience when its distributed. I didn’t have any trouble doing this project because it was straight forward.

FOLEY
Evaluation
In the pre-production process my group and I had to find items/objects to make our own Foley sound effects in order to make a Foley cover. During post production we had group members to do sound effects using sounds made with their mouth and items we found such as; washing up liquid for someone walking in mud sound effect and banging for a dinosaurs footsteps.
When we were recording the Foley sound effects we used a shotgun microphone, which made the Foley sound effects much more clear and loud and a Recorder and headphones to hear more clearly.
What went well in making my Foley cover was the editing. This because I used GarageBand to edit, on a Mac computer and a mouse. I found it easy to use GarageBand, this is because it was straight forward, however I found it difficult to add some Foley sound effects because they were either too short or the wrong speed. But when the sound effects were too short, I just duplicated them and merge them together, which makes them longer and would give the impression that the original recording was longer. I also did the same with the sound effects that were the the wrong speed. e.g. if the Foley effect was too short, I cropped each sound wave and put them close together to create a faster pace.
I think my Foley clip was successful because I added my Foley sound effects on time with the actions on the screen. If I could have improved this I would have recorded more sounds effects with different speeds and dynamics and effects with different pitch.

SOUND TRACK
Evaluation
In the pre-production process I had to first find a clip from a show or movie. preferably a clip with no dialogue because all i had to do was to add a self made audio/sound track over it. In order to make my clip more realistic I needed a clip with no dialogue, so the audience will believe that the sound track was what was used originally in the clip. During the post production I used GarageBand to create my sound track using the sound loops. I made my soundtrack sound Egyptian to match my clip, because they were in Egypt. This was to make it more realistic and traditional. This is so the actions and surroundings in the clip are enhanced by the music, and the music/audio is enhanced by the actions on the clip.
Making the sound track for my chosen clip was fun but a little hard to do. In order to make it I studied each sound loop, and genre. I think my sound track was successful because of how the music matches the action shown on the screen, but I think if I could improve it, I would add more sound effects.
